    The course includes some important civilizations that were established on Syrian ground since prehistoric times until the advent of Islam. The most important points that will be focused on are the history of civilizations - their origin - their most important rulers and their contributions. The course will also focus on the social aspect in addition to studying the economic aspect and studying the intellectual, scientific, religious and archaeological aspects. Learning outcomes: At the end of this course, the student will be able to: - Review the history of civilizations that were established on Syrian ground since ancient times until the advent of Islam. - Identify the origin of Syrian civilizations and their most important rulers and their contributions. - Analyze social aspect of those civilizations in all its details. - Illustrate economic aspect that prevailed in that period of agriculture, industry and trade and its significance to the world at that time. - Review the scientific and religious aspect with its distinctive worship and beliefs. - Review the most important effects left by those civilizations.
