  • General description

    The course focuses on the organization as a social system with specific objectives that it seeks to achieve through individuals and groups with the help of specific mechanisms based on the organizational structure which determines the methods of working, communication and decision making. The objective of this course is to clarify the concept of ‘organization’, how to measure its effectiveness, the impact of each of the determinants (surrounding environment of the organization, technology used in the organization, strategies of the organization, size of the organization, people managing the organization) on these dimensions. In addition, this course clarifies the coordination mechanisms used between the core parts of the organization and the types of organizational structure and its dimensions. It also explains organizational structure design and the difference between the perspectives interpreting the organizations design.
