General description
**Course Description**: This course addresses the fundamental concepts related to project management in the humanitarian and developmental fields, with a focus on NGO interventions through initiatives and projects. The course covers the identification of general and detailed objectives, the preparation of a logical framework matrix, the identification of potential risks, and methods for dealing with them to achieve the expected outputs. It also includes identifying long-term and short-term goals, standard work packages, and the resources needed to implement the projects.
**Learning Outcomes**: By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the steps of project management and the requirements of each stage.
- Distinguish between humanitarian and developmental projects and know when and how to choose each.
- Accurately identify needs and the most suitable projects to meet them, and evaluate their feasibility in terms of time and place.
- Differentiate between general and sub-objectives and identify key activities within each work package.
- Assess the risks associated with each activity and determine methods to address them.
- Analyze the necessary resources for each activity and prepare a budget that reflects project activities.
- Prepare a logical framework matrix and allocate tasks to project stakeholders.
- Develop a real project plan for an NGO, analyze real needs, and correctly identify stakeholders.
