This course introduces the concept of semantics, which deals with the study of the relationship between linguistic forms and the entities in the world. That is, how words relate to things, and it means studying the meaning from three aspects, which is what is known as the triangle of meaning: the signifier, the signified, and the meaning. As for pragmatics, it is concerned with studying the relationship between linguistic forms and the users of these forms; That is, the study of the contextual meaning intended by the speaker according to the identity of those speaking to him, where, when and under any circumstances.
