Course Description:
It deals with the contracting mechanism and strategy in construction projects and how to manage construction contracts and the laws governing them, in addition to that we will address the types of traditional and modern contracts and the advantages of each of how to choose a contract according to the type and size of the project and the availability of the required funding, the impact of the BIM system on the contracting mechanism and the need to develop current contracting systems to comply with the requirements Modern PEM system.
Educational Outcomes:
After completing this course, students will be able to:
1- - Understand contractual and legal requirements and their implications for BIM operations.
2- - Understand and know the contracting strategy for projects and construction works, create a clear picture of the contracting parties, stakeholders and their responsibilities, create a clear idea of the features and types of engineering contracts (traditional and modern).
3- - Understanding the contracting mechanism management in the BIM system.
4- Defining and applying professional ethics and codes of conduct in different work scenarios and ways to protect the integrity of models.
5- . Apply the main principles of construction technology, design and performance. It includes organizational, procurement, legal, financial, social and technological aspects during the business stages.
