General description
Course Description:
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the necessary information on strategic management theories and techniques that help them apply these theories and tools, present an overview of the success factors of the construction industry, analyze the competitive environment, and investigate strategies used by contractors in local and international markets using case studies.
Educational Outcomes:
At the end of this course the student should be able to:
1 - Conduct SWAT analysis, strategic planning and evaluation of institutional performance
2- - Define, analyze and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help define and reach BIM process goals and evaluate its success.
3- - Develop standards and protocols at the institutional, sector and project levels for control, feedback and analysis. It includes what each stakeholder aims to achieve through the use of BIM.
4 - Express good decision making regarding specialized and non-specialist stakeholders. Using decision support tools
5- Critical analysis of organizational management processes and their application to: human resource development, measurement in the context of BIM at the strategic level, and implementation of quality assurance.
6- Develop critical thinking, leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to think about strategic decisions.
