General description
The course reviews general information about geography in Syria with an explanation of the natural and human components of tourism attraction in Syria, and the role of land, air and sea transportation in facilitating tourism movement. It also presents the Syrian tourist geographic areas, tourist attractions of various types, and explains the geographical distribution of tourism facilities in Syria and their types and the impact of each type on tourism activity. The course also explains how to prepare and document the tourism map.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Acquire general information about geography in Syria (its location on the world map, its borders, its area, its governorates ...).
- Identify the natural and human components of tourism attraction in Syria, which helps in the correct understanding of the interaction of nature and society, and the mutual relationship between the various natural and human components.
- Learn about the components of land, air and sea transportation and their role in facilitating tourism movement in Syria, and highlight the geographical distribution of each type.
- Identify the Syrian tourist geographical areas, the natural, historical and cultural tourist attractions in each tourist area, and the main types of tourism in it.
- Identify the geographical distribution of tourist facilities and their types and determine the impact of each type on tourism activity.
- Learn how to prepare and document the tourist map.
