General description
The course focuses on providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills in some subjects that require advanced study through analysis and understanding some of the challenges posed by contemporary armed conflicts to International Humanitarian Law, in particular: - Problems related to changing the nature of contemporary armed conflicts, which affected their classification. - The applicability of International Humanitarian Law to modern weapons, Autonomous weapon systems, and remote weapons. - Cyber and Electronic War. - Special protection of certain categories of International Humanitarian Law (Journalists, Refugees, Children, Women, Relief teams (....) - The role of United Nations Systems, specialized International Organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross in the application of International Humanitarian Law. - Occupation and International Humanitarian Law. - The role of National Judiciary and its relation to International Judiciary in the application of International Humanitarian Law.
