Topic outline

  • General description

Modeling, simulation and verification course aims to develop the student’s ability to understand the basic concepts in modeling and simulation and the mathematical and statistical models used in simulation in order to develop discrete event simulation models for a real system and verify the developed model by using assumptions and methods. The course aims to develop the student’s ability to understand random numbers generation methods with normal and other famous distributions. Thus, at the end of this course, students will be able to do the following: • Using mathematical and statistical model to represent a real system. • Developing a program to simulate a physical system by using the mathematical model. • Verifying the simulation of the developed model and compare it with other alternative models.
