    The aim of this module “Medical Mentoring” is to Develop the skills of the medical team to provide guidance, support and advice to medical team during their studying, training and practice in a manner that contributes to increasing networking and serving the most appropriate health care delivery. The intended Learning outcomes: At the end of this module, students will be able to: • Know the principles of medical mentoring to students or to the trained medical staff and explain the mechanism of implementation. • Determines the purpose of medical mentoring in medical institutions and hospitals and explains its benefits. • Determines the relationship between the mentor and mentee. • Determines the properties of a good mentor. • Identifies tools that support mentorship. • Determines appropriate tools and methods for presenting data and information to create educational mentorship content. • Defines mentoring challenges (supporting the institution - clarifying roles and objectives - continuous training - similarity between the mentor and the trained physician - ongoing training - available resources - monitoring and evaluation - incentives and support for mentors). • Explains the mentoring mechanism of the hospital medical staff. • Explains the mentoring mechanism for students at the first university stage and the mechanism for providing feedback to trainees. • Explains examples of mentoring programs in medical colleges in developed countries. • Integrates the mentoring system into medical education. • Evaluates the current situation of mentors in Syrian medical institutions, if any. • Develops an orientation program at the medical institution.
