    The aim of this course is to make the student familiar with the principle components of digital communication systems and how they work. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO): The student at the end of this course will be capable of: -Understanding the digital communication system components and the principle components of a modem. - Understanding the different types of the signals and their properties in time and frequency domains. -Understanding how to digitalize analog signals. – Understanding the Baseband transmission. - Understanding some digital modulation techniques. - Computing the entropy of a discrete source and the capacity of a channel. – Knowing some types of digital transmission, error detection and correction.
