    The course deals with theories related to second language acquisition, the factors affecting it, and the role of the native language in second language acquisition. It is also concerned with the linguistic interpretation of mental processes related to understanding language, its uses and acquisition, and the associated organic and social aspects. in an attempt to find out what a person knows about the language. It goes beyond the stage of describing the language; that is, studying the human language scientifically regarding all its aspects (phonological, morphological, grammatical, semantic...) and looking into its methods of . acquisition, teaching and learning.
